Tales From South Florida

The Hollywood Sportatorium

Bill Season 1 Episode 4

Text me your favorite South Florida memory.

If you attended a concert in South Florida between 1971 and 1988 it is more than likely that you were at the Hollywood Sportatorium.  Going there meant waiting in traffic, trying to stay dry inside when it was raining outside and a bathroom experience unique to the time. And then there were the acoustics.

But most important the biggest names in touring rock bands played at the Sporto; from Elvis to Kiss, Billy Joel to Madonna, Led Zeppelin to ...John Denver? All of these and so many more.

Travel down memory lane with host Bill Monty as he recounts the history of this iconic venue as well as his personal memories of the acts he saw there.

Then be sure to share your stories (see how below) with us and we can add them to more Tales from South Florida
